Nepal Earthquake: Death Toll Rises Above 2,000

The death toll in the deadly earthquake in Nepal has crossed the 2,000 mark.

More than 700 people were said to have died in the city of Kathmandu, with other nations offering aid as the death toll is sure to rise.


The earthquake had also left over 5,000 injured, wrecked houses, flattened centuries-old temples and triggered avalanches on Mount Everest.

The United States has promised to send a disaster response team, along with a pledge of $1 million.

Sri Lanka, Britain & China have also promised to help with personnel.
