In recent news headlines, 293 girls and women were rescued from Sambisa forest by Nigerian troops but the Defence spokesperson says Chibok girls are not inclusive.
"The troops rescued 200 abducted girls (not Chibok girls) and 93 women," Colonel Sani Usman told Reuters in a text message.
"Troops have this afternoon captured & destroyed three camps of terrorists inside the Sambisa forest & rescued 200 girls & 93 women," defence spokesman Chris Olukolade said in a text message, referring to an area in Borno state.
Boko Haram abducted 276 girls from a secondary school in Chibok, Borno, on April 14 last year. Fifty-seven girls escaped but 219 remained in captivity.
