Following the recent #VuzuRichKids which was reportedly faked , there is a statement from the producers of the show known as ‘Something’s Cool’ (well something is not cool with your show damnit! lol!). The episode 4 which featured a kid by name of Alekssandre, who on the episode showed off lavished rich living. But all this wasn’t real as a source revealed on twitter that the guy faked all the stuff we saw on the episode.
Now according to the producers of the show: they were not aware of such and when they found out it was already late for them to pull back “We had no knowledge of his wealth being untrue, contrary to
validating our research, and we were made aware of these allegations closer to the time of broadcast, of which it was already too late.” Who cares? Please give us our money and time back! Pay back the money! (In Julius' voice).
Well here is the full statement from ‘Something’s Cool’
Something’s Cool extends an apology to the South African audience with regards to episode 4 of Vuzu Rich Kids. While we are grateful for most of the responses and support, it is imperative for our organisation to maintain honesty and credibility.
A brief was sent to Mr Fortunato, which included the contents and prerequisites of the show, of which he agreed to. As with all our participants, we do sub-character and home visit checks. As a company, we validate as much as possible.
We had no knowledge of his wealth being untrue, contrary to validating our research, and we were made aware of these allegations closer to the time of broadcast, of which it was already too late.
We have been honoured to share untold stories through some of the wealthy kids of South Africa and we look forward to sharing the next episodes with the audience, promising sufficient and credible content.
