President Goodluck Jonathan and APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari signed a Peace Accord in Abuja today, March 26, 2015, following the peace pact they both signed alongside other presidential candidates in January.
According to Channels TV, the two candidates signed the accord during a peace meeting brokered by the National Peace Committee for the 2015 General Elections, led by Abdusalam Abubakar.
Reports state that the meeting was aimed at “extracting commitment from the leading candidates that the forthcoming elections will be violence-free.” They even hugged each other afterwards.
