Zendaya On Kelly Osbourne Quitting ‘Fashion Police’ — Her Reaction To Kelly’s Decision
“Zendaya told Kelly that she shouldn’t quit Fashion Police because of the race argument,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com. “She said that now that an apology was made, everybody should move on and try and forgive and forget.”
Only four days before it was announced that Kelly would no longer be a co-host, Kelly threatened to quit the show in the wake of the massive scrutiny Giuliana received for making the comment about Zendaya’s dreadlocks. Kelly maintained that she did not “condone racism,” and we’ve learned she wanted to make a stand.
“However, Kelly finds it very difficult to forgive people – especially when it comes down to racism,” our source continues. “She prides herself on being culturally rich and has many friends of many different races. Kelly felt she needed to make a stand – because of her own beliefs – and went through with resigning from her post.”
Zendaya and Kelly have been friends for years, and the Disney Channel star was moved by Kelly’s reaction to the scandal. “Zendaya was touched by Kelly’s motives, but she didn’t want her friend to give up a job she loves. But Kelly felt she had no option. Being the feisty and stubborn character she is, she would find it incredibly difficult to work alongside Giuliana again.”
