Revenge Mission: France Visits ISIS Settlements With Airstrikes

Some 10 fighter jets pummeled the ISIS-held city of Raqqa in Syria with at least 20 bombs, according to the French defence ministry.

Mirror reported that the strike came as president Francois Hollande vowed to crush the extremist group who massacred 129 people on Friday night.

They struck an Islamic State command and control centre, a jihadi recruitment centre, a munitions depot and a training camp, France government sources claim.

The full statement read: “The raid… including 10 fighter jets, was launched simultaneously from the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Twenty bombs were dropped.”

Syrian activists today, claimed a museum, a stadium and a medical centre were hit by air strikes.

Meanwhile, specialised counter-terrorism units have launched coordinated raids across France and arrested at least nine people in connection with the deadly Paris attacks.

Monday’s early-morning raids took place in Calais, Toulouse, Paris, Jeumont and Grenoble where police blocked streets and searched houses looking for suspects involved in Friday’s attacks, which killed at least 129 people and wounded hundreds more.
